Zoe Ruffin was born on September 11, 2002.

She was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Like other cities with big media platforms, Detroit introduced her to to television at a young age and from there, her interest in journalism grew. 

 

Zoe would attend Cass Technical High school in Detroit, which gave her a business related focus. As she moved on to college, she realized that business was not the path she wanted to continue on. She took one introductory journalism class, and decided on her passion.
